The disc soffit ventilators should be installed at every 250mm to comply with the ventilation requirements of a 10mm air gap.
When installing white coloured products an expansion gap of 5mm per 5 metre length is required (i.e. when butting two boards, a 10mm gap should be left).
Woodgrain products have a greater linear expansion and a gap of 5mm to 8mm per 5 metre length is required.

The pitch is the angle between the soffit board and the rafters.
Pins and nails need to be installed every 600mm to the rafters. Two pins are required for soffit that is 200mm or wider.
Anything less that 200mm does not require pins. For fascia board it is always two pins, every 600mm
