FloPlast were delighted to supply roofline, rainwater and soil products to the recent retrofit of 100 homes in Rushenden, Isle of Sheppey; a community facing real economic challenges. The installation was carried out by Repex Ltd and the phase of the project took place between July 2012 and December 2013.
The installation forms part of IFORE (Innovation for Renewal), an international partnering project. The project showcases energy saving practice at its best by incorporating technologies within social housing in both France and the UK. It aims to reduce carbon emissions by 80% by means of behavioural change as well as installing the physical measures. Residents have consequently obtained a greater understanding of the ecological practices and challenges we face today
Mike Conway, Project Surveyor from AmicusHorizon commented; “As the project included installing external wall insulation to all properties, it provided an opportunity to replace guttering and waste pipes with new. As a housing association, we have always used FloPlast products in the past and were happy to specify this within the contract.”
