Last year, FloPlast were pleased to be a part of a local heart-warming project… DIY SOS: The Big Build on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent (aired last week on BBC 1).
Garry and Kyle Ratcliffe are adoptive parents to four children who have various complex and life limiting medical conditions. The family home soon became unsuitable and was in desperate need of a serious renovation. More importantly, the property needed to accommodate all of the children’s unique needs and offer them an environment to feel safe with their continued progress. With the help of DIY SOS team, this BIG dream has now become a reality.
It was decided by the DIY SOS team that, for the first time ever, it was necessary for the property to be entirely demolished and for construction of the new family home to start from scratch. FloPlast were able to support this incredibly inspiring project by supplying the home with all of its fascias, soffits, rainwater systems, soil & waste systems and underground drainage.
Impressively, the entire project was completed within just 9 days thanks to all the hard work of the contractors, suppliers, utilities and volunteers. FloPlast would like to congratulate everyone who was involved in this amazing project and hope that the Ratcliffe family are both secure and happy for the foreseeable future in their well-deserved new home.
