Continuing with FloPlast’s desire to always innovate and explore new manufacturing techniques, a new Air Admittance Valve (AAV) testing machine has recently been developed and installed.
This equipment enables the Quality Team to replicate the life cycle of an AAV over several days of testing. The tests are split into 4 categories:
• Air Tightness
• Endurance
• Opening Characteristics
• Effectiveness Below Zero
Standalone from the continued Quality Assurance testing, this newly commissioned apparatus enables FloPlast to explore different designs and materials prior to production. Most critically the machine is able replicate the testing standards as set out by the British Standards Institution (BSI).
